The fact that a 20 yo game launches and runs perfectly is a huge credit to the publisher
The fact that a 20 yo game launches and runs perfectly is a huge credit to the publisher. The game itself is a based classic, a fantastic strategy game with interesting battles that is still fun to play even today. 10/10 P.S. There are also plenty of mods available, which add even more content and replayability,

Wow this game came out the year I was born
Wow this game came out the year I was born I grew up loving the Tolkein universe. Watching the movies and reading the books are some of my greatest memories. I remember when I first started watching youtube and I saw pixelated apollo for the first time. The huge battles with LOTR factions I had never heard about was so insanely cool I begged my Dad to let me have a steam account. This was my first strategy game, my first steam game, and the game that made me a PC gamer at the age of 9. It has a special place in my life. The funniest part is I have never completed a campaign in this game, and barely even scratched the surface at best. I was only 9 at the time, but still its crazy that I never have lmao. All 500 of my hours were spent in custom battles, recreating the battles I could only imagine while reading, and seeing new perspectives as I recreated battles from the movies. Coming up with these scenarios and letting my imagination run wild while still being grounded visually in the game reminded me of playing with toy soldiers. The sieges were so much fun! It has been 11 years now, and I am 20. The game gave me so much fun so I decided I wanted to leave a review. It also made me burn through my allowance as a kid since I was chasing this feeling throughout future Total War titles. Warhammer 2 came the closest (but I still loved my Rome 2 and Attila days). I am looking forward to Medieval 3. Thank you CA for this game, and thank you Third Age and Reforged mod teams.

Do not buy from this company. They continue to spit in the face of the Total War Community with their blatant disregard for the people who play their games.
