A friend recommended it and I owe them one. The Co-op, Action, Multiplayer mix is what kept me playing; Deep Rock Galactic knows what it wants to be. It helps that the premise (Fully destructible co-op mining missions. Rock and Stone!) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. I will be back for another run.

I wanted to love this, but it never quite got its hooks into me. Deep Rock Galactic promises a lot with its Co-op, Action, Multiplayer setup, but the loop wore thin quickly. It advertises Fully destructible co-op mining missions. Rock and Stone!; what you get is a thinner version of that. The pacing sags in the middle third and never fully recovers. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. Try before you buy.

A friend recommended it and I owe them one. Deep Rock Galactic leans hard into Co-op, Action, Multiplayer, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. The pitch — Fully destructible co-op mining missions. Rock and Stone! — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.
