I played hundreds of hours with my friend Scott, these are fond memories of a friend long gone but never forgotten. This game is retired for me now. Cya round ScubieDragon.
First of all the company is shut down. I started playing this game on xbox 360, back in 2010. I have probably put in 3,000+ hours or more and honestly the biggest disapointment is that there will never be a #3. This game has a fun and addictive multiplayer. That you can replay again and again in the same manner and it will still be different. There's so many possible ways to play, and all of them seem balanced. The PC version has always been better letting up to 8 players with 1000 units march around and destroy each other. However this game is MUCH more enjoyable with friend, As I have now purchased this game for 8 of my friends to all play together. I honestly can say 8 years later that this is one of my favorite games still to date.
Some say it's not as good as Supreme Commander (1) or Forged Alliance, and I think I'd agree with them. However, Supreme Commander 2 is still an awesome RTS which lately seem to be fewer and further between... If however you thought SC1 / FA had too much micro-management (with units AND resources), you'll probably enjoy SC2 more!
