About Shadow Tactics: Aiko's Choice

JOIN OUR DISCORD. . About the Game. Return to the beautiful world of Edo Japan. Set in Japan around the early Edo period, Aiko's Choice is a stealth strategy game that takes place within the story of Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. The expansion focuses on one of the main game's protagonists: the kunoichi adept Aiko. She is a master of camouflage and distracts enemies disguised as a Geisha. Although Aiko was certain that she left her old life behind her, Aiko's former sensei, the cunning spymaster Lady Chiyo, reappears from the shadows to challenge her. Together with her deadly companions she sets out to hunt down the ghosts of her past...Play a team of five unique assassins. In the style of the main game, you take control of five skillful assassins, including Aiko, to sneak in the shadows between dozens of enemies. Aiko's companions are just as deadly as her: Hayato is an agile ninja, who clears the way silently with his sword and shuriken. The mighty samurai Mugen prefers a more powerful approach and can defeat multiple foes at once. Yuki is a young thief, who places traps and decoys enemies towards their deadly fate. The wise marksman Takuma, however, relies on his sniper

Hard to put down

1. It is a standalone expansion You don’t have to own the main game (Shadow Tactics: Blade of the Shogun) to be able to play this game. But I really recommend you to play the main game first to understand more about the story 2. Exactly the same game as the main game There’s nothing new, just adding new missions. There are 5 missions total (2 of them are very short), plus one epilogue

If you want more Shadow Tactics, you will get more Shadow Tactics

If you want more Shadow Tactics, you will get more Shadow Tactics. This isn't a "stand-alone" game, it's a DLC. There are no new gameplay mechanics, no new enemies, no new features whatsoever. It's simply 3 fleshed out missions, as well as 2 very short and simple ones (think 5 to 10 minutes with 1 or 2 characters) and an epilogue mission where you don't get to do anything really. For THAT 20 bucks is WAY overpriced. For comparison's sake: The original Shadow Tactics costs 40, i.e. double that, but has 13 full-blown missions, compared to the 3 in this game. By all definitions this shouldn't then be more than 10 bucks, not 20. Especially, since everything is already in the game. They've basically "just" created a few maps and spun a rather mediocre story around it... a story that is all the more bittersweet, since we know what happens in the main game afterwards. It feels like it doesn't really belong, since nobody in the main game was ever talking about this, obviously. For what it is Aiko's choice should have been a low-priced DLC, not an actual game. It is VERY enjoyable, don't get me wrong, I'm just not okay with the pricing. Though I got it for like 6 bucks from another website (not a shady key reseller), which I am more than fine with.

It's more Shadow Tactics, and more Shadow Tactics is good Shadow Tactics

It's more Shadow Tactics, and more Shadow Tactics is good Shadow Tactics. Thumbs up, and let's hope for Shadow Tactics 2! tt's a bit short sadly, but the end was very heartwarming :> I really liked all the additional stories between the characters. I love this world and the characters so much.
