It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. Fall Guys leans hard into Arcade, Multiplayer, Cozy, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. It helps that the premise (Wobbly jellybean battle royale, best with friends.) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.

I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed. If Arcade, Multiplayer, Cozy is your thing, Fall Guys delivers it without much filler. It helps that the premise (Wobbly jellybean battle royale, best with friends.) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. Easy recommend at full price.

On paper it is Wobbly jellybean battle royale, best with friends., and for once the game mostly lives up to that. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. There is more content here than the price suggests. Easy recommend at full price.
