How to Unlock All Infernal Arms

Hades will have you battling hordes of enemies in the underworld during dozens of runs, and you'll need the right equipment to survive.

Infernal Arms, the name for all six weapons in the game, are the equivalent of classes in Hades. This guide covers how to unlock all of them, and what to keep in mind to keep on strengthening them in the long run.

How to Unlock All Six Infernal Arms

Zagreus begins his journey with the Stygian Blade, but you will quickly start finding new weapons up to unlock before starting a run. All of these can be accessed from the training room where Skelly is, just before you cross the door to begin a new escape attempt.

Chthonic Keys are used to unlock Infernal Arms. Just by following the story alone, you'll obtain Coronacht, the Heart-Seeking Bow. From there, you'll have to get a hold of a couple more keys to unlock each of them. It will become a trade off of sorts, considering keys are also used to making new talents in the Mirror of Night available, so make sure to balance these two accordingly.

As for obtaining more keys, these can be found during runs, or by trading items in the house lounge.

Infernal Arms List

Stygius - Stygian Blade

• Chthonic Keys to unlock: N/A (it's the default weapon)
• Attack: Strike (can be chained into three strikes)
• Special: Nova Smash (a powerful ground slam using the sword

Coronacht - Heart-Seeking Bow

• Chthonic Keys to unlock: 1 (obtained during your second run)
• Attack: Hold to Fire (if released while the weapon is flashing, it's converted into a Power Shot)
• Special: Volley Fire (Zagreus shoots several arrows in an arch in front of him)

Aegis - Shield of Chaos

• Chthonic Keys to unlock: 3
• Attack: Bash (single hit with the shield)
• Secondary Attack: Hold to Defend with the shield (once released, it becomes Bull Rush, as Zagreus does a short stampede towards where the shield is being aimed at)

Varatha - Eternal Spear

• Chthonic Keys to unlock: 4
• Attack: Strike (up to three hits with the spear)
• Secondary Attack: Hold and then release to Spin Attack (Zagreus spins with the spear around him)
• Special: Skewer and Recall (press the button once to throw the spear, and press it again to retrieve it, dealing Backstab damage if the enemy is facing Zagreus)

Malphon - Twin Fists of Malphon

• Chthonic Keys to unlock: 8
• Attack: Pummel (hold or tap repeatedly to punch in a quick succession)
• Special: Rising Cutter (a powerful uppercut with the fists)

Exagrpyh - Adamant Rail

• Chthonic Keys to unlock: 8 (as well as having obtained all other five infernal arms beforehand)
• Attack: Fire (hold to fire the weapon)
• Secondary Action: Reload (press R on PC or the right analogue stick on controllers to reload)
• Special: Bombard (hold then release to throw a bomb at a targeted area)
