How to Find Mods

Luckily, Facotrio has a built-in mod downloader, meaning you don't have to rely on third-party sites or forum threads. All you need to do is click on the mods section of the main menu. From here you'll be able to find hundreds of mods for Factorio. You can even sort them by most downloaded, trending, or last updated.

If you haven't downloaded mods in Factorio before, you'll be prompted to choose a username. This can be whatever you want, and it does not require an email or additional login information.

How to Install Mods

Once you've found the mod you want to install in Factorio, click on the grey install button on the right-hand side of the screen. This will automatically install it into your game. From here, if you click on the Manage tab at the top of the screen you can choose which mods you want active during your playthrough.

If you don't want a mod to be active, click on the checkbox to the left of the mods name. This will turn it off until you decide to check it back on.

It's important to remember that when Factorio updates it might mess up some of your mods, so you may need to reinstall them after each update. Check back on the mods page under the updates tab at the top of the screen. This will be filled with useful information about the status of your mods.
