How to Import Blueprints
Blueprints allow players in Factorio to share builds. If you've seen some really nice factory setups, or are simply looking for something to get you started, using other players' Blueprints is a great way to take some of the building hassle off of yourself. Luckily, you can import Blueprints that community members have posted into your own game, and use them for your production gains.
Importing a Blueprint will place a ghost layout in your world, where you can manually begin to build each piece of it as you gather the required materials. How to Import Blueprints
Once you've found a Blueprint you want to import (we recommend checking out Factorio Prints and Steam forums) you can copy the Blueprint to your clipboard by hitting the copy button on the page.
Then you'll need to go into your Factorio game and click on the Import String Icon on the shortcut bar at the bottom of the screen.
Once you've imported the Blueprint, you'll see the green border appear, make sure you have plenty of space clear on the map. You cannot place the Blueprint if other objects you've placed or environmental things such as trees or cliffs are in the way. If you hold the Shift key while placing the Blueprint, it will place anything that isn't currently being blocked by an object.
Once you're clear of any obstructions you can place the Blueprint down and you're all good to go!
