This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday

This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. The MMO, RPG, Multiplayer mix is what kept me playing; World of Warcraft knows what it wants to be. It helps that the premise (The MMORPG that defined the genre, still going strong.) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. Worth it, especially on sale.

I wanted to love this, but it never quite got its hooks into me

I wanted to love this, but it never quite got its hooks into me. World of Warcraft promises a lot with its MMO, RPG, Multiplayer setup, but the loop wore thin quickly. What it promises (The MMORPG that defined the genre, still going strong.) is more interesting than what it actually does moment to moment. Performance was acceptable, though the loop repeats itself well before the credits. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. Not for everyone, and not for me.
