Rolled into the first Gorgon campaign with no idea what I was doing

Rolled into the first Gorgon campaign with no idea what I was doing. Wound up recruiting a warrior within the first chapter and I intended on making her a tank with a shield. Her name was Falula. At the end of the first chapter, as we fight the first of what would be many gorgons throughout the campaign, I messed up and she got maimed. Her shield hand was turned to stone. I lived with it, begrudgingly. I kept her in my party for the next several hours of the campaign. She couldn't wield a shield anymore, but she could still fight, and as it turns out, fight well. I made her a Paladin which had the passive of putting her into a "Guardian" stance after every one of her turns regardless of action. This meant that she'd attack the first enemy that walked by her. She held her own throughout several hours of play, pulled her own weight, and as I entered the last fight of the campaign against the Gorgon leader I rewarded her reliability and invested my resources into giving her the strongest one-handed mace I could craft. The final fight was long with many, many enemies. But finally as we're fighting the big boss man himself, as he walks into range to finish off one of my other party members Falula's Guardian procs and she strikes the ugly creature with a crit of the level 3 mace I had just given her. It was just enough to finish him off and so the day was saved. At the end of each campaign you can choose to carry over one character as a legacy character to other campaigns. I could have chosen any of the 5 other able-bodied characters I had. But I chose my stone-handed battle priestess Falula. This game rocks.

Started a campaign

Started a campaign. I had 4 people in a company together. over 10 years. Two were romantic and the other two were only friends. At the end of the first chapter, the final battle saw the two who were romantic killed in battle. 20 Year Timeskip happens at the end of the chapter thanks to a mod put out by the developers that allow large jumps. At the start of the next chapter, I suddenly have 2 new people in my group. I was confused, but assumed it was the game just automatically balancing things back so I didn't have only 2 people in my company. I was wrong. I checked their histories first, saw nothing special. I checked their relationships after. They both were in their early twenties. They had listed parents. They were the orphaned twins of my two dead company members, having been only 3 years old when they died. The game wasn't 'balancing' to fit the style. It was throwing me a curveball that made me happy I built two shrines after that bloody battle. And now I have two orphaned fighters who were most likely raised by the other 2 people in the company due to their comrades dying. This game is unreal.

Let me tell you something about this game

Let me tell you something about this game. It starts off slow. It seems simple. It seems like it dosnt have much to offer. But hold fast young adventurer. I have just finished the first campaign and I am honestly blown away. On the surface this game dosnt seem like much. But the character progression is amazing! It feels like you are playing and DM'ing your very own DnD story. Seriously, try this game. Play through, at least, the first campaign and try and tell me you dont want to continue and see where your adventurers end up. I have never heard of Worldwalker Games LLC but they are forever on my radar for any games they create. Great stuff guys and gals! This is a must play!
