Explore a randomly generated world filled with special features and threatening wildlife that can crush your troop's morale. I love this game, it's exactly what I want from a 40k game
I love this game, it's exactly what I want from a 40k game. There isn't another one like this. I hope there are many different and fun games to play in the future. The fact that this game makes you pay for updates is the reason for negative review. Don't buy it, seriously just pirate it at this point because this is ridiculous and predatory. It is not a norm for the gaming industry, its just greedy pigs taking whatever they can. I know alot of work and passion was forged into this wonderful game, and time does equal money. But the amount of money asked to play this game as intended, with all the races and units (just about there is alot missing still) is quite offensive. I would pay $70AUD for this entire game not this laughing offensive price we are given. Maybe even $90 but that would be a stretch, the second I smell a scam I would just avoid.

I wanted to love this game as much as I love 40k but I can't
I wanted to love this game as much as I love 40k but I can't. The base game is decent and worth it to buy on sale. However. Every time I open the research menu I see parts of my army locked behind a paywall. I can stomach an entire faction like Tau being DLC but the Chimera? or the Landraider? You gotta be @#$% me! Here is your spaghetti but the sauce and cheese cost extra! Get that outta my face! Oh its just 1 DLC to complete your army. NO! its 3. Reinforcement, Fortification and Assault. Nearly $6CAD each. I don't mind that there are only 2 ways to win a game. Kill everyone else or quests. I can't recommend a game that splits your army and puts part of it behind a pay way.

Wait for a sale
Honestly a fun game overall however, with the lack of content in the core game and crazy high prices for the DLC, this becomes a money grabbing ploy.
