I'm writing this review with tears in my eyes
I'm writing this review with tears in my eyes. Don't get me wrong, the game's story and voice acting and anything that's not the core combat loop sucks, and you NEED to download the difficulty mod. But I thought that being a mid-30s adult, cynical and jaded now that I understand how the world works, and constantly burdened with real life problems, had completely managed to rob me of that childlike wonderment I had towards RPGs. For years I tried to just 'lose myself' for hours on end like I did as a wide-eyed kid in pajamas playing Final Fantasy for the first time - and nothing ever worked. This game brings me right back there. Today, I get to be ten years old again.

Seiken Densetsu 3 is one of my favorite RPGs of all time
Seiken Densetsu 3 is one of my favorite RPGs of all time. It's right up there with classics like Chrono Trigger. This is a really well-done remake. The graphic updates, fresh combat, updated music, and art style all shine. They stayed true to the original formula, but added some new perks like passives, new attacks (plus combos), plant upgrades, and more. This game really balances the charm of the old game with an updated aesthetic. A safe way to approach an upgrade. + Very close to original + Great updated combat and music + Great art style and graphics + Costume changes + Can skip dialogue lol + Team AI adjusting (plus quick character switch) + Can listen to original soundtrack + Nice perks (new passives, plant upgrades) - Voice acting, dialogue, and character body language are all awkward at times (Kevin's voice is disappointing :/; Charlotte's dialogue is also meh) - Larger areas mean more/stronger enemies needed - Some slow texture loading and minor framerate issues - We need multiplayer support. Especially for our friends not familiar with the game/series. Overall a gem that I will splurge on, and beat with many different combinations.

Best Remake for me at this time
Best Remake for me at this time. All Archivments and the new Dungeon cleared on Hard. I like the original on SNES. I have the ♥♥♥ Original Demo and full Game. Voice Talents a bad.... but is the only con for me. Pro: select the japanese Voice. Now i want a remake like this for: CHRONO CROSS Terranigma Secret of Evermore Chrono Trigger And can we have "Adventure Of Mana" for PC too? I hope so much :D
