TL;DR This game is an entry in the Rusty Lake series

TL;DR This game is an entry in the Rusty Lake series. You *have* to cheat with a steam guide or go down a 2 hour rabbit hole ARG to even finish all of the achievements. I would not recommend the game based on that fact personally. It feels more like a compliment to an ARG- and NOT a stand alone title. I really dislike the path this game series has gone down. Ever since the live action video entry the information needed to 100% the game is literally impossible to discern by just playing the game. You have to go out and look at a guide that summarizes an ARG that was put out. I think this is kind of ridiculous personally that in a puzzle game you have to go digging for year old youtube videos to even try to figure out what the hell to do. All the guides I saw just give you the answer and I couldn't even find a reason for any of them. Maybe it works for die hard fans following the story post by post live but as this ages it is becoming so ridiculously hard to figure out the achievements it is losing me rapidly as a later fan of the series. I also feel like this should be very obviously disclosed in the marketing with big bold letters telling you it is NOT a stand alone title. Sure, some people don't care about achievements- but this is in the puzzle genre- I mean, certainly that's a genre where a lot of people want to solve the entire game right? Cube escape collection is much more realistic to figure out and in my opinion just a much better experience. I wish it was self contained because I love the story but it's just so out of hand at this point. It doesn't even feel like a game series to me anymore it just feels like part of the ARG that I'm not experiencing. Very disappointing.

Great game in the same universe as all the other Cube Escape and Rusty Lake games

Great game in the same universe as all the other Cube Escape and Rusty Lake games. Makes parts of the story clearerand has a more understandable way of storytelling than the previous games. However, most of the puzzles are rather easy and except for one I was able to complete all almost instantly. However, I am still missing a lot of secrets, so I guess the tricky parts are still ahead. To conclude, it's a must buy for all Rusty Lake fans and a good recommendation for every puzzle fan who likes to have a great story combined into one game, but I would suggest to start with the free Cube Escape games first.
