Worth every hour

If you are hesitant to buy any of the Midnight Scenes games by Octavi Navarro you can check The Supper to get a hint as to what atmosphere awaits you in these games. This is a completely free horror game which has a very retro vibe to it since it has pixelated art and it is played very similarly to those good old LucasArts games. After all, this is a point-and-click game. You play as Ms. Appleton whose job is to serve 3 guests that have just arrived and they all ordered a different dish. Your job is to find the ingredients and not to forget to apply the special sauce. But what is it? Why is it important? And who is this voice giving you instructions or reprimanding you when you combine the wrong items during gameplay? You will have answers to all in due time. Short, sweet, chilling, horrifying and sad at the same type. This is the The Supper for you. Highly recommended!

One of my best buys this year

The world of triple-a gaming is filled with huge theme park like open world sandbox games that offer hundereds of hours of (usually very repetitive) gameplay. And to be honest: There are moments where i really don't want to play these games anymore, because i simply get bored by doing the same stuff again and again. And on the other side there are indie games. Sometimes really small games with very simple graphics and gameplay mechanics. But they often have something those big triple-a games lack: A soul. The Supper is one of these games. It's a very short point & click adventure game, very low tech, but sometimes short and simple is what i want. And The Supper tells a simple, but nice story with an unexpected ending. If you're into pixel art graphics, classic point & click adventure games and creepy short stories this might be the game for you.
