Yes, it's 3d rimworld, BUT: it does some interesting stuff
Yes, it's 3d rimworld, BUT: it does some interesting stuff. Instead of rimworld where you immediately start knowing what a boomalope is or whatever, every plant and animal is just like... "Broadleaf plant" or "Big horned animal" or whatever until you send someone to go observe it and figure out what it is, if it's hostile, if it's useful, etc. And instead of being a colonized world, it's just your spaceship crash. There are a few opportunities at the start to find other survivors and then that's it, you got what you got. The REALLY cool part though is the endgame. Instead of rescuing everyone all at once, the occasional passing ship is like "yeah we can take ONE of you." So you have to mechanize more and more as your workforce dwindles, but the more mechanized you are the more nature hates you. By the end you're down to just your best fighter in your biggest mechsuit pumped full of all your combat drugs fighting off the unceasing hordes and praying for one last rescue ship.

I really enjoy playing Stranded: Alien Dawn
I really enjoy playing Stranded: Alien Dawn. I've finished the Crash Landing and Outpost scenarios and was working towards some of the achievements when the dog the crew tamed died of old age. I made a grave and when I went to bury him, no option to bury an animal. Can that be updated maybe? I know it sounds trivial but that made me kind of that the only option was to butcher him. Leave me alone, I'm an old lady. Other than that, really enjoyable game.
