I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed. Soccer Online: Ball 3D leans hard into Sports, Multiplayer, Co-op, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. It helps that the premise (Multiplayer soccer simulator. Control one player. Play online or with bots.) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.

Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. Soccer Online: Ball 3D wears its Sports, Multiplayer, Co-op influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. On paper it is Multiplayer soccer simulator. Control one player. Play online or with bots., and for once the game mostly lives up to that. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. Easy recommend at full price.
