If you're a fan of this series, go for it
If you're a fan of this series, go for it. But I'm not recommending this series because of Namco's business model of selling the game in pieces. Imagine my situation, pre-purchasing the deluxe version of this and hoping the Mission sets are something fun. Turns out they're AFK missions. Then they release a garbage ass EXPANSION PASS that's not included in the deluxe version I bought. Something like this should be free as endgame after completing everything. They also inflate enemy stats and nerf yours so your pilots with +999 stats and level 99 mechs can blow smoke up the asses of the enemies in Inferno mode.

Bandai seems to have responded quickly and resolved the biggest issues facing the game within a few hours of the launch. With those dealt with I can now recommend the game. My previous negative review will remain for the record below. ***PRE-PATCH REVIEW*** This review could change if Bandai get off their collective arses and fix the game. I cannot recommend this game. As of launch it is broken, utterly. Units do hundreds of thousands of points in damage and scenarios become unwinnable because your units are simply instantly killed the second they miss or are outnumbered. Custom characters are not created properly and have no skills. In the game's present state it is unplayable.
