was a good game with some improvements needed, but now its just bare bones with everything being a DLC when it should have been a part of the game we paid for, honestly a massive dissapointment and if I had known the money grab route, would never had bought the game in the first place, Aimless and empty. no content
I bought Ranch Simulator in early access with the promise that it would grow into a fully fleshed-out game. For two years, I waited through minor updates and LONG stretches of SILENCE hoping that the developers, Toxic Dog, and publisher, Excalibur Games, would deliver. Instead, we get a PAID DLC that LOCKS gameplay features behind a PAYWALL rather than being part of the base game we already funded. Ranch Simulator was NEVER a complete game, but it had potential. That potential is now officially dead. Instead of meaningful updates that expand the base experience, they’re charging extra for what should have been a core part of development. Now I've seen anyone criticizing this decision is being silenced and banned from discussions. I didn’t back an early access game just to be strong-armed into paying more for features that should have been part of its development. I paid expecting a game that would be developed, not ABANDONED in favor of DLC cash grabs. This move is a blatant slap in the face to those of us who supported this game from the beginning. This shows the true colors of Toxic Dog and Excalibur Games. Ranch Simulator should be considered a FAILURE of a game and a warning to future buyers. DO NOT BUY unless you enjoy paying extra for a game that was never finished. Edit: Still haven't played this game since. GOOD RIDDANCE. Still not finished. Never will be.
My dog Axel saved me from a bear, then my gf and I started killing every bear in the game out of retribution. R.I.P. Axel, no bear will remain alive buddy.
