I bounced off it twice before finally giving up
I bounced off it twice before finally giving up. The RPG, Sim, Multiplayer side of Project Zomboid is fine on paper, but the execution felt thin after the first few hours. What it promises (Project Zomboid is the ultimate in zombie survival. Alone or in MP: you loot) is more interesting than what it actually does moment to moment. The pacing sags in the middle third and never fully recovers. There is more content here than the price suggests. Not for everyone, and not for me.

This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. Project Zomboid wears its RPG, Sim, Multiplayer influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. On paper it is Project Zomboid is the ultimate in zombie survival. Alone or in MP: you loot, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. There is more content here than the price suggests. Easy recommend at full price.
