This was my first Persona game, and my first experience with anything from Atlus. Words can hardly describe the way this game has made me feel. Anger, melancholy, joy, everything. I know this sounds cringe, but Persona 3 has genuinely transformed how I see the world and myself. Before playing, I viewed the world through a lens of fear and judgment. I focused so much on the negative aspects of life, convinced that people, as a whole, were inherently selfish. Persona 3 shifted my perspective in ways I never expected. Through its story, characters, and themes, it taught me that life is a mixture of beauty and struggle, and that our connections with others—no matter how fleeting or painful—are what give life its meaning. It reminded me that while there’s darkness in the world, there’s also light, hope, and redemption. The game’s central theme of memento mori, or “remember you must die,” left a HUGE impression on me. Rather than being morbid or depressing, it serves as a call to embrace life with purpose and optimism. Persona 3 doesn’t shy away from the reality of mortality but instead uses it as a reminder of how precious and fleeting our time really is. It taught me to cherish every moment, to value the people in my life, and to confront challenges head-on, knowing that each day is an opportunity to grow. Sorry this is cringe, this game was just so peak lol.
