Still thinking about it

To put it simply: this is a sort of XCOM with swords and magic, and (at least for me) with a more engaging story. If you like this kind of tactical games, this game won't disappoint you. The pros: - great gameplay, combat and story - 6 different classes (and enough options/abilities to make different builds of each class) - amazing design (dark medieval fantasy) - good voice acting - interesting morality/faith system, encouraging replayability The cons: - the limit of only 12 heroes with no ability to swap them between reserve and active, you either keep them active, or dismiss them for good (*) - the endgame (after campaign) ramps the difficulty up several levels (!), might not be for everyone (*) Although the fact that you cannot try all the heroes in one gameplay encourages to play the game again, especially for the ones locked at certain moral/faith level, it is frustrating to not being able to swap them at least for a trial mission. An option to swap active heroes for other in the reserve (with some kind of cool-down mechanic, damaging their loyalty or something else to limit its use) would improve this game. (!) For the main campaign you can choose the difficulty, but after the campaign, when you start the endgame and its many missions (which is 100% cool that they added it), although it would seem that you're still playing on the same difficulty, you encounter enemies with much more health and/or higher number of them at once, for the balefire mission, it gets ridiculous. That may be great for those seeking tougher challenges (but hey, you already have the difficulty setting...), but for more "casual" players, it turns each mission into a long bothersome and cumbersome task, IMO.

Love the game, love the idea

Love the game, love the idea. For a tactical game it's top tier. I'm still kinda wondering why it takes 121GB of space though. I mean the graphics are good but there are no cinematics or anything fully rendered. The logic engine cannot be that large. Text and audio take up almost no space at all. So I can't figure out why a game with (let's face it) 2006 era graphics is 121 Gigs.
