Each player has 6 cards on their hand (replenished from the same deck) and uses them either to move around the playing field or to perform different game actions. There is a lot of interaction with other players, and duels are significantly different from 3-player or 4-player games. You can play until a certain score limit, or until agreed number of rounds, or for time limit. My review is well overdue and I'm finally writing it down. First, I would like to address major points for criticism, which people mention in negative reviews: 1. Always online – not anymore. You get offline version Gremlins vs Automatons, though it’s only good to learn the basics, because all the fun is in multiplayer. 2. RNG hell – not really. The game has too many interactions, which might be overwhelming for newcomers. Most of randomness could be negated, but not all of it, because interactions with other players are inevitable. RNG can be infuriating, true, but Luck can be generous too. 3. DLC and loot boxes. The base game contains everything you need to play. All DLCs are optional and contain cosmetic items. Lootboxes are incentive to play in ranked sessions and contain cosmetic items. Neither is required to play the game. All essential content (new cards, misfortunes, game modes) is free for everyone with the base game. Unless you have severe OCD you are going to be fine with just the base game. And now to the good parts: - Distinctive art style and music. - Fun mix of board game, card game and strategy. - Addictive gameplay. Every game is different. - Team mode. - Ability to modify decks to play with your friends or bots. - Spectator mode. - Regular tournaments. - Friendly community. In short. The biggest bang for the buck in my library.

Tihs game is CRIMINALLY underrated, it should be overwhelmingly positive. period. i grew up in a household where we played board games regularly, lots of unique and different ones, and this is the first pc based board game i've played in the last decade that made me really have fun. i immediately sold 2 other friends on it and we played for 8 hours straight the other night. imagine if, Sorry and Monopoly had a crack baby. that's Gremlins inc. it has so much random chaos that you can never just, decide a game plan and win. you need to learn to adjust on the fly, and that keeps things so alive! oh, i was planning to run for governor this round, but after being arrested and losing half my money, might as well commit to the sin and screw over my enemy instead! 20/10 game want more with the same levels of creativity.

Finding a multiplayer game to join is very easy
Finding a multiplayer game to join is very easy. You don't have to pester people in your friendslist to find someone to play against. This is not the case with other games I know. I would also tag it as: easy to learn, difficult to master. You can buy extra DLC for this game. But don't worry! You don't have to: everything you pay extra gives you just the opportunity for more cosmetic items. No new mechanics or gamemodes in the extra products. So you don't need to spend a penny more to be able to play this game. Just the base game contains everything in terms of gameplay. Rest is cosmetic. (I bought all the DLC though, wanted to give my money to the developpers for such an awesome game) Buy now and have fun!
