Wait for a sale
Played 5 versions over the last decade with many hours in each, and whilst I will play this one for a couple of hundred, it is by some distance the weakest one I've played. Primarily the match engine is embarrassing. A defender, with no other place within 20 yards, will head any ball in the air straight to the opposition for no reason. Goalkeepers will run the opposite direction to a back pass and concede an own goal. Strikers will get confused on a counter attack and jog instead of sprinting. The amount of times the opposition score with their only shot... Outside of this expect to be spammed with the most pointless information about a 1 star players development to a 1.5 star player in your youth team coming straight to your inbox, meanwhile you have to hunt down information on the Champions League if you are not actively playing in it, even if you subscribe to it! If you have played any version of the game from the past 10 years you will be familiar with all the press-conference questions and hand that, and many, many other duties over to your staff. The most fun thing about previous games was signing players, shaping a team and seeing results with the formation you either developed or downloaded. I have developed and downloaded several so far and results are at best inconsistent and at worst comical. The graphics are either a web browser or a Fallout 2 football mod. 90% of players don't have a photo. The sounds only exist in matches, and the "ole" chants that fans do for passes when a team is winning by just 1-0 is ridiculous. The concept of Football Manager is what keeps me coming back, but the reality drives me away quicker and quicker.

Instant uninstall after reading the privacy policy
Instant uninstall after reading the privacy policy. Short version: "We may collect any data we want (including sensible personal data) from the user and transmit it to anyone the laws allow us to. Also we may transmit your data to any foreign country where other (read: laxer) data protection laws may apply." Upon installation and booting up the game, the very first thing you will be asked to do is accept these conditions and enter your age so they can send it (together with other data) to third parties which will then show you "appropriate" advertisement ingame. Yeah SEGA, aint no way I am saying yes to that. Uninstalled and refund requested.
