Hard to put down
After spending over 6000 Hours in Final Fantasy XIV, I figured that it would be a good idea to see where everything started, and thanks to these lovely Pixel Remasters of the first few Final Fantasy games, it is easier than ever to do. Story FF1 has a classic RPG Plot. You control a party of the chosen Warriors, foretold by a prophecy to save the world. Nonetheless the story the game weaves from it, is fun to follow and has some unexpected twists. If you, like me, only played FF14 before, you will meet some characters you know from there, and it put a smile on my face each time. Gameplay If you think of a classic turned based RPG you pretty much think of Final Fantasy 1. Before you start, you build your 4 Players party, that you can freely configurate and start into your adventure, fight enemies, equip your party with the Gil you earned, and discover the world. In opposite to modern RPG’s, you won’t find pointers on the map, but need to figure out where to go next via NPC conversations. Graphic and Audio Lovely pixel look, with charming music that will become stuck in your head for a while. Tech Stable 60fps, never encountered a bug, or crash or any other problem. Final Thoughts Playing Final Fantasy 1 feels like a small, very enjoyable, time travel journey to the origins of RPG’s, that I can wholeheartedly recommend.

Still thinking about it
Years ago, while going through Chemotherapy, my wife saved up the money for a new state of the art gaming system -an 8 bit Nintendo! We purchased this as our first video game for that system. I played it a lot using the game as distraction from my treatments. I like your retelling but miss one line from the original, "All living things were born to die! No one can defeat me -The Vampire!" A must for retro gamers or people like me happy to relive a past favorite in a new format. 888 * pax * ♥ & CAW!
