I can recommend this game for historical reasons
I can recommend this game for historical reasons. It is supposedly the first game that kicked off the "Walking Simulator" Hype back then, so for anyone interested in the "Who did it first?" I can recommend it. But for my perseonal taste it is too vague and obscure in the story territory to feel involved. It felt more like a theme park to me than anything else. I would not recommend it as a good example for what the genre can do. That said, especially the sound and the moodiness are worth a listen and a look. It feels really barren and drenched in solitude. For that alone I am happy for having played it. Although a faster walking pace would have done it for me. The music is just beautiful and fitting in most cases (I thought at one point it was kinda weird mood wise). I can recommend it on a deep sale for curiosities sake. It is competent and the developers deserve Kudos for making the first step in this genre.

A quiet favourite
Whether it's a game or not is up for debate, but if you can get past the beginning that seems a bit pretentious and boring on first impression, you get treated to a very atmospheric experience. It's more of an interactive indie film than a game, the soundtrack is gorgeous as are the environments. This is something that would genuinely benefit from being made for VR.
