Easy recommendation
So far a great pokemon like game, the community has spoken about not wanting the launcher and they took it off day 1, good stuff. I have had a few performance issues (2 crashes,fps drops) but nothing so bad it made the game unplayable, i have faith in the devs to address the issues. Game itself so far has been solid all around Edit: After playing some more i have a few gripes having a puzzle every new area/biome is getting slightly annoying, i don't mind puzzles but come on now Having skills with different typing's that you cant get coromon of is a little odd to me(hopefully they will add coromon to fit those types later?) No coromon with duel typing so far is a bit of a let down Even with the new gripes, i still think the game is fun and worth the price tag, i enjoy the battles and the coromon which is the main draw for me. Hopefully the devs will continue to improve on this game.

A lighthearted Pokemon clone with a splash of Golden Sun. The gameplay is fundamentally Pokemon with a few tweaks and QoLs and a fun shiny/IV system. The monster designs lean toward the "cool" side rather than cute, with earthier, dark color palettes. There are a bunch of novel moves and abilities, but the elemental type system is unfortunately a bit more simplified than Pokemon's 18 type system however. Also the monster count is about 110, which might leave collectors hungry for more. The plot/writing is whimsical and adventurous, it is structured like a traditional jrpg where you travel the world and help various people with their problems while collecting what you need. The spritework is gorgeous and detailed and definitely the strongest aspect of the game. Despite the strong art, I think the attack sound effects are a bit weak. Difficulty is well balanced, a tad harder than a basic Pokemon campaign on normal mode. But there are lots of custom difficulties modifiers and options to crank up the difficulty as you please. Very well polished, meaty JRPG with a fair bit of replay value. Postgame is currently lacking but apparently free DLC is on the way. Great fun for monster collectors and team builders.
