Tag enemy fighters before they reach you, make sure your destination is marked but most importantly, make sure you have the right team for the job. One engine destroyed, a second broken and a third is on fire
One engine destroyed, a second broken and a third is on fire. My engineer fell off the wing while trying to fix the second engine. One gunner is down and my plane is barely holding together as fighters continue shooting more holes into it. Fuel has leaked out of one of the fuel tanks and I don't have enough to get me back to the airbase. I finally make the call and ask the crew members to bail out. There wasn't enough parachutes for everyone, and the pilot is now alone on the plane, with an injured gunner in the back. All hope is lost. But then we see the enemy fighters turning back, we've finally made it back to friendly territory. The pilot prepares for an emergency landing on friendly soil. Only one side of the landing gear deploys, the other must have been shot doing in the fight. We reach the ground, and the plane comes down hard - but we are alive. Back at base, the pilot and gunner cannot believe they survived. They are now anxiously waiting to see if any of the crew that bailed out over the water will make it back alive. Finally, they receive word that the navigator and radio operator has made it back. The others...well they weren't so lucky.

So far has been an interesting game
So far has been an interesting game. However, I don't understand why gliding doesn't exist in this game? Like if you run out of fuel half a kilometer from the airfield, your pilot won't even try to glide the plane to an airfield 200m away but he'll just nosedive to the ground. Like literally, I crashed on the tip of the airfield cause my plane ran out of fuel and suddenly started going down at a 70° slope. Even if you press "emergency landing" it'll still nosedive, which defeats the whole purpose of emergency landing

Oh my god!
Oh my god! The flight crew is so cute! -10 minutes later- I'm screaming because the the plane is being lit up, 3 engines are on fire, 1 isn't working. The pilot just got incapacitated and while the navigator is trying to get the pilot back up the plane is doing a nose dive towards the ground while the egineer is trying to repair hydraulics and the gunners are reloading. Meanwhile the radar guy is panicking because more enemy planes keep appearing on the radar.
