Not the game for me
Game is good, but the recent introduction of constantly online bs needs to go and is the main reason for my negative review. Failing single-player missions because your internet connection was unstable for 1 second is simply put moronic. If what I'm playing is done locally on my machine, then why the hell do I have to constantly be connected to a server?

After a recent update, I cannot recommend this game anymore
After a recent update, I cannot recommend this game anymore. Single player progress now requires a constant, always-on internet connection, and if your connection flickers even briefly, you will be silently put on a "Ineligible to progress" flag. At the end of a single player mission, you get a popup essentially informing you that you have to replay the mission since your internet dropped during it.

This game should be considered as a golden standard for what remasters should be
This game should be considered as a golden standard for what remasters should be. Not only the graphics have been completely overhauled but the gameplay mechanics have been tweaked to allow gameplay that wasnt possible on older hardware. Population cap is now much higher and you can use powers nore frequently which allows for some crazy battles. The AI pathing is better, the game is well optimized so it runs smooth even at the highest settings on older rigs. I could not recommend this more.
