Wow, the Pirate game genre is pretty dry right now. I wish there was a game that could scratch that itch. The Yakuza series for some reason:

Incredibly polished. Satisfying to play. Painfully clever. There's already a lot of content. There's a level editor. Music fits the aesthetic. Humor and character to the world. Extremely well done indie game.
