Golden Dandelion
The Golden Dandelion is a new Minecraft item that was added with the Tiny Takeover update on March 24, 2026. Using this magical flower on a baby mob will stop it from aging up into an adult. Here's how to get and use the Golden Dandelion!
How to Get a Golden Dandelion
You can craft a Golden Dandelion using a regular Dandelion and 8 Gold Nuggets.
Dandelions are common, small yellow flowers that can be found in several different biomes, but we've found them most reliably in the Plains biome.
You can get x9 Gold Nuggets by smelting Raw Gold into a Gold Ingot using a Furnace, and then placing the Gold Ingot in a crafting table or your inventory.
To make a Golden Dandelion, place the Dandelion in the middle of a crafting table, and surround it with 8 Gold Nuggets.
How to Use the Golden Dandelion
With the Golden Dandelion in your hand, approach the baby mob you want to keep from aging up, and right click on it. You'll see green sparkles descend around the creature, and a sound effect will play. The flower will be consumed. This prevents the animal from aging up until the effect is reversed.
If you want to allow the animal to age normally again, you'll need to craft another Golden Dandelion, and right-clicking on them again while holding it. You'll see green sparkles again, but this time they are ascending (moving upwards).
