You can tell there was no effort to edit this DeepL English translation. I can't recommend the game because of this, considering there is quite a lot more dialogue than I expected. There are times when it's incredibly difficult to read and take seriously. Maybe I'll edit my review later if some aspect of the gameplay or "dating" is good enough to change my mind. Right now, the gameplay (hotel management) seems to be very cozy, while the dating aspect is endearing and cute. So there is definitely potential for those who don't care too much about how it reads. I wish I could leave a neutral review rating.
I'll start by saying that I mostly enjoy the game, but if I'd known about what I'll describe below, I think I would have skipped past it. -This game was clearly translated, and the translation is pretty slapdash in both the UI and the VN elements. I can easily forgive a lack of localization (everyone speaks in English, yet they randomly mention that a character just spoke Cantonese or Mandarin and was hard to understand), but words are just misspelled or cut off now and then in the UI, and now and then there will be a few lines in the VN which will just make no sense. The player character's nameplate during dialogue is 'I', which always seems like a glitch or typo- the fact that it was a choice makes it worse, in my opinion. -The gameplay itself is pretty mindless, and many elements are introduced without sufficient explanation, many of which are fine to not use despite seeming critical to the story. The translation issues do not help with the lack of proper explanation. The girls are cute, but the art style is very generic, and honestly just glancing at the CGs in the Steam Store page might get you as much worth as buying and playing the game. I can't really advise buying this game because of the translation issues, but for those who can look past them, it's a passable VN with light gameplay elements that might be worth getting on sale.
I completed the game, spending approximately 150 hours in total. I bought it solely based on algorithm recommendations. Initially, I expected some sort of construction management simulator, but I was disappointed when I had to read a lot of tedious text right from the beginning of the game. A lot of it. Honestly, I even quit the game at times. However, I came back and kept reading, hoping to get to the "game" itself. The gameplay mechanics were fun and interesting only for the first half hour; then it became a tedious routine. By the middle of the game and beyond, the meaning in the mechanical aspect of the game was completely lost. Fortunately, by that point, I had already immersed myself in the game's plot. Essentially, the game is a visual novel with clicker elements where you have to improve relationships with a selected character throughout the entire game (there are a total of 4 characters). The Evil parameter feels entirely useless, as it only determines the outcome at one moment in the entire game. But I must give credit to how the authors described the "philosophy" of spirits, monsters, death, and other worlds. The plot twists in the middle and, especially, at the end of the game hooked me onto the completion, although even after finishing, there remained a sense of deprivation concerning some key characters like Uncle Cat and Senior Brother. Who do I recommend the game to? Fans of reading novels. You'll have to read a lot. Did you get into the game because you thought it was supposedly a hotel simulator? Better steer clear.
