Not the game for me
Been playing since early 2011, and having even played the game professionally at one point, I simply cannot recommend this game. The main problem is clearly the fact that any existing players are required to create a brand new account and play through the abysmal tutorial that WG have set up in order to play, and this is due in part to WG "never believing their game would be multi-platformed". Through all the ups and downs I have had with this game, it's still a hilarious irony to realize that even after a decade of this game being around, WG still doesn't care about it the way they should. Had proper development of the esport or the game in general taken place, this game could've easily been an all-time great, alongside other top-tier esport games. Sadly, however, that will never be the case due to the money-hungry and greedy nature of WG. I will also say that if you're looking for an insanely popular game that lets you play at literally any time of the day, this is the game, just not if you're playing in NA, SA, or Oceania. The game's audience is solely left to the EU and RU market, where the vast majority of players are located, and thus the game is thriving in those two regions. If you want to play the game, I would advise that you stick to WG's client. Who knows how useless the Steam Client will be considering they couldn't do the most minor task of letting us link accounts.

I installed the game on steam just so I can review it without being silenced
I installed the game on steam just so I can review it without being silenced. I have played the game for 15 years on their own launcher. With well over 10000 hours on the game I can say that I'm done. Don't buy this game. You could buy 1000 other games for the same price that it takes to play this game. I have played competitive to the max in this game, three marking tanks, being the top performing team in clan wars, running clans, managing the global map, making communities for people to come play in. There is nothing left for me to do but collect tanks. Sadly I can't do that anymore because their new monetization locks tanks behind lootboxes inside other lootboxes. This results in a low chance of getting the tanks that I want/need to stay competitive and it's a low low price of $1600-$5000 to get them. Not even Warthunder is this scummy. So after my 15 years of playing I can say I have never played a game that has spiraled this hard. Please don't support Wargaming in any game they produce or publish. They are a tainted apple that corrupts the entire tree. They will never get better. They don't care about anything but money. They deserve to be thrown into the pit and forgotten about.
