I bounced off it twice before finally giving up. The Action, Sim, Multiplayer side of Stationeers is fine on paper, but the execution felt thin after the first few hours. The idea (Stationeers puts you in control of the construction and management of a space) is there, but the execution never catches up to it. It asks for a lot of grinding before the interesting parts show up. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. Try before you buy.

This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. If Action, Sim, Multiplayer is your thing, Stationeers delivers it without much filler. It helps that the premise (Stationeers puts you in control of the construction and management of a space) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. I will be back for another run.
