This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. If Action, Adventure, Cozy is your thing, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated delivers it without much filler. On paper it is Are you ready, kids? The cult classic is back, faithfully remade in, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. Worth it, especially on sale.

It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated wears its Action, Adventure, Cozy influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. On paper it is Are you ready, kids? The cult classic is back, faithfully remade in, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. I will be back for another run.
