Game is really fun so far
Game is really fun so far. Performance is terrible. It ran just fine for the prologue, but as soon as you get to the open world (which is about 2 hours in; conveniently after the 2h window for steam refunds) performance falls off a cliff. Stuttering and choppiness even if you lower the settings. If they fix the performance, I'll change this to a recommend. No matter how fun the game is, I'm done with unoptimized PC ports. I'm done playing this until they patch it.

"An unexpected error has occurred. This application will be terminated. Code: 0xC0000005 Please fix this. UPDATE: Devs have seemed to fix the issue now, no I wont be changing my recommendation.

Exactly what I hoped for
It's certainly not better than Nioh 2, and it's clear that they cut a lot of corners graphically to make this work on the Katana engine, but the combat is very good. So good, that this really doesn't deserve to have such mixed reviews on that basis alone. It's also a massive game that lasted far longer than I expected. If you're on the fence, I'd strongly recommend at least giving it a try.
