I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed. POLYGON leans hard into Action, MMO, Multiplayer, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. It helps that the premise (POLYGON is a tactical multiplayer team 1st person shooter. Using various) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. Worth it, especially on sale.
This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. POLYGON wears its Action, MMO, Multiplayer influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. The pitch — POLYGON is a tactical multiplayer team 1st person shooter. Using various — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. There is more content here than the price suggests. Worth it, especially on sale.
