Not a bad game, just not one I can recommend without caveats. Pixel Strike 3D promises a lot with its Action, Adventure, RPG setup, but the loop wore thin quickly. What it promises (Pixel Strike 3D is a Multiplayer First-Person Shooter that features fast-paced) is more interesting than what it actually does moment to moment. Performance was acceptable, though the loop repeats itself well before the credits. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. Not for everyone, and not for me.
Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. Pixel Strike 3D wears its Action, Adventure, RPG influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. On paper it is Pixel Strike 3D is a Multiplayer First-Person Shooter that features fast-paced, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. Worth it, especially on sale.
A friend recommended it and I owe them one. Pixel Strike 3D leans hard into Action, Adventure, RPG, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. On paper it is Pixel Strike 3D is a Multiplayer First-Person Shooter that features fast-paced, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. I will be back for another run.
