This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. Overwatch 2 wears its Shooter, Action, Multiplayer influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. The pitch — Team-based hero shooting with a cast for every mood. — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. I will be back for another run.

Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. If Shooter, Action, Multiplayer is your thing, Overwatch 2 delivers it without much filler. On paper it is Team-based hero shooting with a cast for every mood., and for once the game mostly lives up to that. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. Worth it, especially on sale.
