Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. Of Guards And Thieves wears its Action, Cozy, MMO influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. The pitch — Of Guards and Thieves is a multiplayer stealth game in which high-powered — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. Easy recommend at full price.

A friend recommended it and I owe them one. Of Guards And Thieves leans hard into Action, Cozy, MMO, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. On paper it is Of Guards and Thieves is a multiplayer stealth game in which high-powered, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. I will be back for another run.
