Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. The Action, Adventure, Multiplayer mix is what kept me playing; Nuclear Nightmare knows what it wants to be. The pitch — Venture forth as part of a specialized team of fellow players tasked with — is delivered without too much filler. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. Worth it, especially on sale.

This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. Nuclear Nightmare leans hard into Action, Adventure, Multiplayer, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. The pitch — Venture forth as part of a specialized team of fellow players tasked with — is delivered without too much filler. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. There is more content here than the price suggests. Easy recommend at full price.
