A friend recommended it and I owe them one. Nightingale wears its Action, Adventure, RPG influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. The pitch — Nightingale is an open world survival crafting game, where you’ll adventure — is delivered without too much filler. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.

It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. Nightingale wears its Action, Adventure, RPG influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. It helps that the premise (Nightingale is an open world survival crafting game, where you’ll adventure) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. I will be back for another run.
