Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. Motor Town: Behind The Wheel leans hard into Adventure, Cozy, Racing, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. The pitch — Enjoy realistic driving in the open world. Relaxing cargo deliveries or driving — is delivered without too much filler. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.

I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed. The Adventure, Cozy, Racing mix is what kept me playing; Motor Town: Behind The Wheel knows what it wants to be. The pitch — Enjoy realistic driving in the open world. Relaxing cargo deliveries or driving — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. Worth it, especially on sale.

I wanted to love this, but it never quite got its hooks into me
I wanted to love this, but it never quite got its hooks into me. Motor Town: Behind The Wheel promises a lot with its Adventure, Cozy, Racing setup, but the loop wore thin quickly. The idea (Enjoy realistic driving in the open world. Relaxing cargo deliveries or driving) is there, but the execution never catches up to it. The pacing sags in the middle third and never fully recovers. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. Not for everyone, and not for me.
