This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. If Action, Multiplayer is your thing, MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA delivers it without much filler. It helps that the premise (This is the latest addition to the series of 2D fighting games based on) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. Worth it, especially on sale.

A friend recommended it and I owe them one. If Action, Multiplayer is your thing, MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA delivers it without much filler. On paper it is This is the latest addition to the series of 2D fighting games based on, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. Worth it, especially on sale.
