Mass Effect: Andromeda takes players to the Andromeda galaxy, far beyond the Milky Way. There, you'll lead the fight for a new home in hostile territory as the Pathfinder, a leader of military-trained explorers. This is the story of humanity’s next chapter, and your choices throughout the game will ultimately determine humanity's survival. The Deluxe Edition contains: Deep Space Explorer Armor. Looking for armor that can stand up to anything a brand new galaxy can dish out? With the Deluxe Edition, you'll get to gear up with Deep Space Explorer Armor. Nomad Skin (3). Man this is a hard one. Ultimately, here's the shortest way I can put this: Is it better than the original trilogy? No. Does it have a lot of flaws, like a needless open world, a weird face problem, and a somewhat bungled premise? Yes. But do I still recommend it? Yeah probably. The new gameplay/gunplay loop is pretty good. Getting to switch your ability loadout on the fly is a ton of fun. And while the story is inconsistent, I was interested in it. And the last mission was pretty solid. The companions were also well done, easily on par with ME1s companions (if you ignore ME2 and 3, which only seems fair). The flaws are serious enough that I probably won't play it again for years, if ever. And if I do, it'll be with serious mods. BUT I don't regret playing it either. I don't know, make sense of that jibberish.
Game has been rendered unplayable due to EA turning off Origin and forcing me to update to the EA Play app, which doesn't work for ANY of my EA games through Steam. Well done EA, proving you're useless once again. *Slow Clap*
Every once in a while, I reinstall the game to see if EA has removed its client software. Take Two did it with the old Bioshock games. But, not EA. It's still there. Part of that EA software runs in Windows all the time, even if you're not using Steam or playing any games. Check your Task Manager. And if you try to disable the process permanently, it has a watchdog that pops up a notice about fixing it every time you restart your computer. I didn't agree to ANY such behavior when I bought the ME games. Those little yellow boxes on the store page that mention "background use required" are entirely too vague. The average consumer would never expect it to mean something so invasive and unnecessary.
