You gather materials

You gather materials. You process those materials into planks and bricks You build houses. You gather more materials. You build fancy stuff and necessities for those houses. You get chummy with people and let them settle in yout town. You build houses and open job opportunities for these people. And eventually all these relationships, houses, and jobs you build will unlock more places and bueprints that'll help you in making Littlewood or *insert town name here* to be the prettiest, most prosperous town in a world that finally got its peace after you defeated the evil Dark Wizard. Lastly, you're also given terraforming right from the start, pretty much given full freedom to shape your town into your liking. It is a bit limited by resources at the beginning, but it really only limits you from making some crazy levelled town design which is completely possible the deeper you go into the game. It's the kind of game that's hard to find any fault in as long as you don't expect to play a deep base building RPG or something... It's a fun, casual game akin to Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, with more similarities to the latter. If there's anything that's lacking from this game, is that it isn't as micromanage-y as Stardew and lacks the social feels kind of brand from Animal Crossing. But it does find its own comfortable place in-between those two games. ...Oh, and the fact that you can only build stairs on a specific direction(vertically from bottom to top, you can't build stairs side-ways). Sounds mundane but it does limit player's creativity by a bit. But regardless of that, the "Overwhelmingly Positive" is absolutely well deserved. Devs put their love and hard work into this game and it just shows.

This is a fun, cute game

This is a fun, cute game. This is //not// Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, or Story of Seasons and is, in my opinion, only tangentally related to them. There is no pressure in this game. No choices--and thus no agonizing over the "wrong" choice--and therefore, little depth. The characters are cute and firmly two-dimensional, in the sense that they have a distinct personality but it doesn't really "mean" anything. But back to the pressure thing; there is no time limits to anything except certain festivals' minigames. No one objects if you don't do a quest. There is no penalty to taking three months to finish something. No one minds being homeless for weeks because you keep forgetting which wood you're supposed to be collecting. That is the beauty of Littlewood: you can take your time. There's no fretting about optimizing your day and making sure you have enough energy to get to all your chores and whatnot; the crops can sit there for years and your cows don't care if you don't say hello. It is the epitome of "chill". If you place something somewhere and regret it, simply pick it up and put it somewhere else, regardless of if it's a barrel, a house, or a tree. Don't like the furniture item you built? Destroy it and get 100% of your materials back. Forgot to talk to a character for a whole season? NBD, you were busy. Also you can date all the characters and no one cares. Beautiful. (You can still only marry one though.)

I truly did enjoy this game, HOWEVER, there are a few negatives people should be wary of

I truly did enjoy this game, HOWEVER, there are a few negatives people should be wary of. One is that the game will get repetitive - trying to fill out the museum and such gets to be a real pain, especially when it comes to breeding flowers. You'll start skipping days and go a couple of seasons just to get the last few things that you need which really takes the fun out of the game. Second is that there is absolutely no story line completion. None. The entire game hints at some big story moments, but the game culminates in a small area where you can't actually do anything or go anywhere. There are no answers, no resolution of any storylines, nothin'. Plus, as far as I can tell, there is no plan for there to be any real ending. It's a massive let down because the game really hypes up this huge story and you're so excited to see where it goes, for it all to just fall flat when you realize it's not going anywhere. The game is fun but it felt like there was amazing build up for massive disappointment. Just my two cents, I hope the creators will add more.
