Good game like the second, just some chunky graphics
Good game like the second, just some chunky graphics. but that's what gives it its charm to me at least. very minimal bugs, only a single softlock that wouldnt happen to a normal player. everyone saying the game is bad and to buy the original are just nostalgic and taking their anger out on a great remake. dont listen to them. its really fun.

Yo genuinley do not waste your money on this game
Yo genuinley do not waste your money on this game. I'm only keeping it because I got the valve complete pack for just $10. The "HD H.E.V arms" are just fan made ones, which shows how little valve cares about this project anyway. The game is litterally unlisted because they are embarassed of this games existence. Sure the lighting is good in some areas, the HD models though are terrible. They don't fit well in such a old game, with outdateded models and textures. If your going to buy this game, just refund it after you have had your fun. The physics aswell just don't fit in with the game. The guard in the main menu screen where he is getting attacked by those green tentacles, he is litterally invincible. Overall man, just dont buy this, it's waste of your money and your time, even Valve thinks so.

The game is very broken, but the HL:S Fixed mod is very good, i recommend the mod a lot! The game by itself.. ehh.. There's basically no difference than the base HL1 and this "remaster". The only difference is you get source engine graphics and physics, and theres a loooot more bugs. This game is not worth the price, if you see it on discount.. just get it to finish collection of half life games. If you get the HL:S Fixed mod this game is worth playing for sure. It fixes a lot of bugs (as far as I know, I'm currently testing it out myself). Cons: You can't push the Eli clone in the control room to open the door earlier in anomalous materials, you can't push the scientists into the eyescanners in the room before the test chamber , you can't push the cart in UC back out to spawn a vorti, some of the sounds from HL1 are swapped out, for example the console that breaks with the scientists who are Eli and Kleiner in Black Mesa, speaking of, Black Mesa is a way better source engine remake of HL1 than this game. I strongly recommend Black Mesa, even tho it can get confusing due to the maps being slightly different than HL1. Rating 6.9/10
