As tank nerds, we need a game that gets right to the good stuff - modern tanks, realistic system and damage models, and a focus on fun over all. . . With Gunner, HEAT, PC! we aim to make that dream a reality. . GHPC will blend game and simulation in just the right amounts, providing awesome fire control and ballistics simulation behind deceptively simple controls. This core feature set serves as the foundation for a rich single player campaign mode, skirmish missions, and (eventually) cooperative multiplayer modes: a satisfying option for every taste. And let's not forget about infantry and support units - tanks weren't built to fight alone. AI-controlled combined arms forces will round out the tactical environment and let armored units shine the way they were meant to.. Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. Gunner, HEAT, PC! leans hard into Action, Sim, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. It helps that the premise (Gunner, HEAT, PC! (GHPC) is a simulation game about modern mounted combat, with) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. Worth it, especially on sale.

I wanted to love this, but it never quite got its hooks into me. Gunner, HEAT, PC! promises a lot with its Action, Sim setup, but the loop wore thin quickly. What it promises (Gunner, HEAT, PC! (GHPC) is a simulation game about modern mounted combat, with) is more interesting than what it actually does moment to moment. Too many systems are introduced and then abandoned. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. Wait for a deep sale.
