A friend recommended it and I owe them one. If Action, Multiplayer is your thing, GUILTY GEAR Xrd REV 2 delivers it without much filler. The pitch — Astonishing 3D cell animations and overwhelming content volume, the — is delivered without too much filler. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. Worth it, especially on sale.

This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. If Action, Multiplayer is your thing, GUILTY GEAR Xrd REV 2 delivers it without much filler. On paper it is Astonishing 3D cell animations and overwhelming content volume, the, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.

Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. The Action, Multiplayer mix is what kept me playing; GUILTY GEAR Xrd REV 2 knows what it wants to be. It helps that the premise (Astonishing 3D cell animations and overwhelming content volume, the) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. I will be back for another run.
