I bounced off it twice before finally giving up
I bounced off it twice before finally giving up. Fans of Action, MMO, Sim will recognise the pieces, though Gray Zone Warfare never quite assembles them. It advertises Enter a high-stakes PvE-first open-world tactical shooter set on a quarantined; what you get is a thinner version of that. Too many systems are introduced and then abandoned. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. Try before you buy.

A friend recommended it and I owe them one. Gray Zone Warfare wears its Action, MMO, Sim influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. On paper it is Enter a high-stakes PvE-first open-world tactical shooter set on a quarantined, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. I will be back for another run.
