A friend recommended it and I owe them one. The Adventure, Multiplayer, Co-op mix is what kept me playing; Ghost Watchers knows what it wants to be. On paper it is Ghost Watchers is a co-op online horror game. You will explore and hunt ghosts, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. I will be back for another run.

It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. If Adventure, Multiplayer, Co-op is your thing, Ghost Watchers delivers it without much filler. The pitch — Ghost Watchers is a co-op online horror game. You will explore and hunt ghosts — is delivered without too much filler. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. There is more content here than the price suggests. I will be back for another run.
